My profile as an international finacial speculator increased two days ago when I advanced my shares portfolio by a nifty sum. Needs must! The High Street is at rock bottom and money will just be eaten away by inflation if something isn't done. Speculate to accumulate, faint heart never won fair lady and all that. Will snap on my red braces and slick back my hair tomorrow. Actually its all rather good fun - should have done it years ago.

We're walking in the air

Today, at the age of 56, I built my first snowman in at least 40 years. I was clearing the drive when the notion just took me and I set about rolling a big ball from the grass. It ain't the greatest snowman in the world but hey, its all mine.

First blog in months, do I have anything particular to say? I've been taken off the betablocker clopridogrel after some 18 months; really, I probably should have gone off it sooner. Lets hope I don,t need to go back on it. I've also developed a second hernia on the right side to partner the one on the left. I'm in the process now to get it sorted - probably sometime this summer. My blood count is not too great - surprisingly, and the quack said they need to watch out for possible thyroid problems. being off the betablocker may well help on this.
